This set has some light figure, which gives a little shimmer to the wood. There is some character marks in the form of bark inclusions and mineral streaks. The wood is still solid, and the only major defect is along the edge of piece #8 which has a good width reduction. Overall this is a nice set, and could be used in any application, or would fit in really well in a rustic setting.
