This set offers a wide flatsawn sequential run of nice cherry that is mainly clear up to 8' in pieces 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 5. The rest of the pieces of the set are rift and quartersawn cuts from the central part of the log. Each of those pieces were split and have one live edge and one natural edge. There are some scattered knots, but lots of room to cut out straight grain components from these pieces. Piece 12 has some sap on the narrow face, but is a beautiful bookmatch with piece 13.
Overall this is a great set of PA Cherry with little to no gum, beautiful color and texture, and a nice uniform color.
