This set of Chestnut looks very much like the real-deal.
Grain structure looks like American Chestnut,
Color looks like American Chestnut,
Weight feels like American Chestnut,
Cell structure looks like American Chestnut... the only thing is it's hard to believe that it doesn't have bug holes!!!
This length has ring-shake splits, so it would be best used for longer thinner pieces. There is some opportunity to get wide panels from the set, however in some cases the shake splits would have to be repaired. Small price to pay to get Chestnut this clear!
