A very nice character Chestnut set. First half of the set is pretty clear, with one larger spike knot and a split in piece #3. The second half has a few more knots present, and some are open. Multiple split ends are visable as well. The grain in the set is very uniform and pleasant as it moves around the knots.
This set of Chestnut looks very much like the real-deal American Chestnut.

Color looks like American Chestnut,
Weight feels like American Chestnut,
Cell structure looks like American Chestnut... the only thing is it's hard to believe that it doesn't have bug holes!!!
