Hard Maple Flitches

This set of 10/4 Hard Maple shows water marks on the roughsawn faces of the slabs, but the wood is nearly all white sapwood once planed. The only heartwood shows in the center cuts 4, 5, 8 and 9. But, even in those pieces the heartwood could be removed without loosing much volume.
Overall the set dried nicely with some twist in the piece 5 and 9 due to them sharing the pith. These pieces were ripped and length reductions given to compensate.
