This whale is an impressive boule of Red Gum. The color in these slabs is awesome, classic color swirls and streaks with red, violet, tans, and maroon. The sapwood has developed a bit of punk but along with that some small areas of cool ink black spalting along the edges.
Overall length of this set is 19'! wow, but we measured it back to below 17' to compensate for some end splits, which could be repaired, but at 17' you'll have mostly solid ends. This set would make for some very impressive conference tables, bar tops, or waterfall tables!
