Red Oak Flitches
SPECIES
A long and wide red oak log! At just shy of 19' long, there is definietly a lot of wood to work with here. Even better is that its mostly clear the entire way through. There is some pith and open splits on pieces 5,6, and little bit on 7. With the widths of these though, said pieces could still yield some decent width straight grain pieces. Or just add a little character to the project?
