Soft Maple Flitches
SPECIES
A small 3 piece set of nicely figured Soft Maple. The figure runs nicely throughout each piece and while it does not jump out at you, it pops nicely as you move around the set. Piece 1 and 2 are nice and white on the top faces with a thin strip of brown poking through on piece 3. While piece 3 is 15" in width. A measurement reduction was made to exclude the brown in it and knots running directly down the center of the piece on the back face.
The three piece bookmatched set is therefore mostly white sapwood.
