Soft Maple Flitches
SPECIES
A highly figured set of Soft Maple. The figure runs nice and consistently throughout. This set is mostly narrower, straight grain pieces. Because of this, most of the defect/brown in the set has been ripped out leaving clean pieces. While the set is mostly white and defect free, however there is some grey sap stain in the wood. Also, there is a spot or two of rot near the butt end of some pieces.
NOTE: While this set is white, there are some light discoloration streaks (Sap Stain) that run throughout the set. It does resemble what ambrosia would look like, only much lighter
