Soft Maple Slabs

Here's a mighty soft maple log with super widths. Besides the two outer cuts, the central widths are all over 30 inches. This log offers a mix of clearer faces in the first half, giving way to character grade in the last half. The character slabs have the start of crotch grain, ingrown bark, and scattered knots. There is a split going from the top end of pieces 8 through 11, ranging from 2 feet long, to almost half way down the slab.
One standout feature is the cool pinknot clusters which are scattered in the log. The figure in these areas is beautiful.
