Soft Maple Slabs
SPECIES
An awesome soft maple log full of great slabs with huge widths. This log is free of knots, and has limited defects. While a majority of the slabs have splits at each end, most are not severe. These could be patched back together, or split for clear and wide straight grain pieces. Some ambrosia is scattered about the log, mostly seen on the outer cuts.
Pieces 4 and 6 have been surfaced in a small area to show this logs true color. The heart wood is actually quite light, almost blending in with the white sap wood.
