SPECIES
This figured steamed walnut set has pleasing grain. The curly is night tight an uniform like fiddleback figure, it appears to have a wavy water texture.
The set is mostly clear wood, except for a spike knots which is on the very ends of pieces 5, 6, and 7. These flitches have a 1' reduction in length to compensate for the defect, but there is come nice wood around the knot, so the boards have been left long.
