Check out the figure in this set of Walnut! You don't see it like this in walnut often. The first 2 to 3 feet of this log has a quilted figure that is similar to what is seen in Big Leaf Maple. The figure does fade out along the length, but there are a few spots with similar figure on the top end of the log set. The butt end of this log with the concentrated figure would make any project pop, or would lend itself nicely to gun stocks, guitar parts, turnings, or accent pieces.
Note that piece 8 is 5/4 and the rest are 8/4.
