Awesome set of figured walnut. The curl is tight and shows a lot of depth. The boule offers some great widths in the first slabs; there are nice bookmatched pairs with a few scattered knots.
The pieces from the center of the log were split to remove the pith which yields beautiful figured rift and quartersawn grain. There are a few length reductions in the set to compensate for a large spike knot in the middle of pieces 9-12, and piece 13 also has a reduction due to sapwood.
Overall this is a great set with gold star figure!
