Got a clearer set of unsteamed Walnut here. The outers cuts of this set are nice and clear with some cool grain movement up towards the crotch end of the log. As you get into the more central cuts, some knots and light splitting start to creep in on the top faces. The crotch grain also starts to split and open up a bit. Still a great set with some really nice grain.
NOTE: piece 10 is actually 5/4 and reflects that in the tally. Piece 9 also has the tiniest bit of metal lodged in it at the far end of the slab.
