Walnut Slabs
SPECIES
This walnut log offers a lot of unique properties. The first half of the set (pieces 1 - 4) has relatively uniform grain with a solid knot here or there. Widths are large enough for a bookmatched table project.
Pieces 5 through 9 have a beautiful sequence of feather or flamed figure where the walnut crotch flares out. Some light figure can be seen on the edges as well. The straight grain section of these flitches are clear beautiful walnut.
