White Oak Slabs

Here's a big white oak log with great slabs. These slabs offer majorly clear wood, awesome straight grain, and wide widths. Towards the center of the log, splits do form down the middle of the slabs. Some twisting is present, particular to the middle of the log.
Piece 5 is actually 21/4 (5.25") thick. The cut was started, and ended at the white line across the butt end. Our sawyer hit metal at the point of the white line in the slab and backed out of the cut. This piece would be good for mantles or a slab top, but it would not be advisable to carve into the slab for fear of hitting metal.
Piece 6 has a 25% reduction for the sappy top face. The back face shows a lot of heartwood.
Pieces 6 through 9 are just under 108.
