White Oak Slabs
SPECIES
This white oak log offers great character pieces and widths over 3 feet wide!
The slabs have some knots at the top end, as well as a branching off crotch on the right side. The majority of the set has splits, big and small, running up the middle.
The first slab from the set is discounted due to one face being completely sapwood, but it could be used as a bookmatch with slab two to yield a ~32" counter top.
The straight grain in the set is quite clear though, with ray fleck and occasional figure.
